Welcome to the Instructional Game Repository

What is the Instructional Game Repository?

The Instructional Game Repository is an online resource and community for sharing information on educational games. The repository is being developed as part of research on educational games by the GQS – Software Quality Group of the INCoD - Brazilian National Research Institute for Digital Convergence of the Informatics and Statistics Department of the Federal University of Santa Catarina/Brazil.

The repository offers game creators the possibility to divulge information on their games. For instructors interested in integrating gaming activities in their instructional unit, the repository offers a structured search functionality so that they can find relevant games easily.

There is no charge to become a registered member of the Instructional Game Repository, yet the membership allows you to register new games and to review and comment the available games.

What kind of games are here?

The current prototype of the repository focuses on games for Project Management education only covering any kind of game (such as, computer games, board games, role-playing, etc.). Based on a systematic evaluation of this prototype we are already planning the extension of the repository to games for Software Engineering education in a first step and then amplifying the scope to games for any kind of Computing education.
